The Gyongju University Korean Language Institute (GUKLI) offers quality training programs for foreign students wishing to develop their interests in the Korean language.
The programs have been carefully designed to promote proficiency in the Korean language within an engaging historical and cultural context. The benefits of these programs include:

¢À Application and Admission Procedure
1. Admission Requirement
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required of all KLI students.
2. Required Documents
1) A completed application form with your photograph.

Step 2: E-mail the completed form to global@gju.ac.kr
2) A non-refundable application fee of £Ü60,000. (The fee should be transferred to the
designated Gyeongju University bank account : KB bank 604801-04-279890
3) A copy of the photo page of your passport. (A photocopy of your Alien Registration
Card, if you have one.)
4) Your Study Plan. (Use the form available at http://gec.gju.ac.kr)

5) Resume including all levels of education (from elementary to university)
6) A copy of your transcripts and diploma from the last school you attended.
(Please DO NOT send the original diploma.)
7) A copy of your (or your guardian's) bank statement proving a balance of US£¤10,000 or above.

3. Screening and Admission Procedure
1) Submit the application materials to one of the following addresses:

* If one or more of the required documents are missing, your application will not be processed normally.
We strongly recommend that you submit all your application materials at the same time.
2) The screening process for an application usually takes one to two weeks.
3) Notice of Admission: The KLI will notify the applicant of admission to the program and provide bank account information by e-mail.
4) Tuition Payment: Upon receipt of the KLI acceptance notice by e-mail, the student is then required to pay the tuition fee for the applicable term(s).
5) When the registration is completed, the KLI will send a final confirmation e-mail to the applicant.
* If any of the submitted documents subsequently proves to be forged, altered or illegally manipulated, admission will be cancelled and tuition will not be refunded.
¢À Payment of Tuition
Tuition for one term during the 2011 academic year: £Ü1,000,000.
(Textbooks are not included in the above fee.)
Fees (application fee and tuition) are payable to the KLI by bank transfer only. Personal
checks are not accepted. (US£¤1.00 is approximately equivalent to KR£Ü1,132, at the
exchange rate as of December 31, 2010.)

¢À Refund of the Tuition
Students wishing to withdraw from the program after the tuition fee has been paid
may be entitled to a full or partial refund, depending on when notification of
withdrawal is received. Please see the table below for full details of the refund policy.

¢À Tuition Waiver
A limited number of tuition waivers will be available for students who excel in their classes.
¢À Dormitory Fee
A dormitory room will be provided to all KLI students who apply in the spring or fall
term. To apply, fill out the application form available at http://gec.gju.ac.kr and send it
together with other application materials.
